The league
Every match is a 1v1v1: three teams play against each other, and your place in the match decides how many points you earn.
Match format
A sample draw with example teams. In the SWL the sides are assigned at random.
Every SWL match is played by three teams at the same time, each against both others. They play as Team Green, Team Red and Team Blue. Which team gets which color is assigned at random.
At the end of a match the three teams are ranked. Every place earns league points:
The points of all your matches add up over the season. They decide the table of your league. For example, 6 matches as 1st, 5 as 2nd and 4 as 3rd make 6 × 3 + 5 × 2 + 4 × 0 = 28 points.
Roster
To qualify for one of the leagues, a team needs at least 30 players who are eligible to play in the league. A team can have up to 50 active players. When the team is full, no more players can join.
A player is eligible when all four of these are true:
Three leagues
The Pro Series and the 1. Division have 16 teams each, the Amateur Series is open to any number of teams. Finish high in the table to move up, finish low and you drop.
All teams and points shown here are sample data.
Moving up and down
Three leagues, one goal: the Pro Series. You start in the Amateur Series, collect points in every match and fight your way up, league by league. Finish at the bottom of your league and you drop back down.

Requirements
Every team starts in the Amateur Series. A team can sign up when all of this is true:
Part 1
Part 2
Every player needs a profile, and so does the person who creates the team. You do not need a team to make one.
Check the number twice. Once it is saved, only the league staff can change it.
Optional fields like the profile picture are left out of this picture.
Anyone can type a number, so the league checks that the Steam account really is yours. You prove it with a personal code.
A staff member looks for the code on your Steam profile and verifies the number. The status then changes from Not verified to Verified. If the code was not found, the page tells you, and you can ask for a new check.
Staff check requests by hand, so ask early. When it says Verified, you can remove the code from your Steam profile.
Open your profile and press Create a team. You become the Team Owner.
You can change all of this later. Open your team page and press Manage team.
The logo and the Create team button are below this part of the form.
Your team needs at least 30 active players and has room for 50. Players come to you, you do not add them by hand.
At 50 active players the roster is full. No more players can join. Remove a player before you accept someone new. A team can also have up to 10 inactive Honorary Members.

The Roster card, as Team Owner.
Before you sign up, look at two things on your team page.
When you have 30 active players and nobody has a label any more, your team is ready. The sign-up window in step 6 checks all of this again and shows what is missing.
The roster of a team that is not ready yet.
The Team details card.
The Team Owner signs the team up.
That is it. Your team is registered for the Amateur Series, and its team page shows an Amateur Series label. You can withdraw the team in the same window.
Only the Team Owner sees this list. A team manager can see which players are missing something, but cannot sign the team up.
